And there’s also sophomore Marissa Nychyk on all-around and freshman Alivia Ostendorf competing in four events, too. Volpe is someone who will be a critical athlete for the Cardinals on beam, as Hudson will be on beam, vault and bars, but more than that Saleem has seen the pair step up into their leadership roles with the team.Īs for the former, Saleem is excited to have senior Bri Slonim back from injury because of the high level at which Slonim can operate on vault and on beam. The second, is who is pushing the team from within as leaders by way of work ethic and other like characteristics.Īs for the latter, Saleem will look this season to her two captains in junior Arden Hudson and sophomore Lauren Volpe.
